The Dimensity 1000+ was officially launched by MediaTek on May 07, 2020.	The Snapdragon 855+ was officially launched by its parent company Qualcomm in July 2019.

MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ processor is designed using a dual cluster architecture. This processor works in a 4 + 4 method. All complex tasks are carried out by Dimensity 1000+ in this formation. On the other hand, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ processor comes up with a tri cluster architecture. All tasks are done in the form of 1+3+4 formation.

The first 4X cores of MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ are installed for high-performance tasks. These cores are made using ARM CORTEX-A77 CPUs that provide a clock speed of 2.6 GHz.	The first core of Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ is meant for high-performance tasks. The CPU used is KRYO 485 Prime CPU which is made using ARM CORTEX-A76. It provides a clock speed of 2.96 GHz.
The next 4X cores are installed to do tasks with high efficiency. The cores of this processor are designed using the CORTEX-A55 CPU. It produces a clock speed of 2.0 GHz.	The next 2X cores are installed to do low-performance tasks. The CPU used is the KRYO 485 Gold CPU which works on the principle of CORTEX A76. It produces a clock speed of 2.42 GHz.
–	The last 4X cores in Snapdragon 855+ are installed to do tasks with high efficiency. The CPU used is KRYO 485 Silver CPU which is made using ARM CORTEX A55. With the help of this CPU, the processor is capable of producing a clock speed of 1.78 GHz.

The MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ processor supports LPDDR4X RAM of dual channel. This processor produces a RAM frequency of 2133 MHz.	The Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ processor supports LPDDR4X RAM of the quad-channel. This processor produces a RAM frequency of 2160 MHz.
This processor is capable of supporting RAM up to 16 GB.	Moreover, this processor is also capable of supporting 16 GB of RAM.

From the comparison, it is clear that both processors support the same amount of RAM but the Snapdragon 855+ supports quad-channel RAM. Whereas, Dimensity 1000+ is only capable of supporting dual-channel RAM. Also, the Snapdragon 855+ processor provides a better RAM frequency than that produced by Dimensity 1000+.

Both these processors Dimensity 1000+ and Snapdragon 855+ support the same types of storage that are UFS 3.1, UFS 2.1, and EMMC 5.1.

Video recording of 1080P is also supported by the Dimensity 1000+ processor at 120 FPS.	1080 P video recording at 60 FPS can be done using Snapdragon 855+.
MediTek Dimensity 1000+ supports video recording of 720 P at 240 FPS.	Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ supports video recording of 720 P at 480 FPS.
The feature of SLO-MO video recording is supported by this processor.	The 855+ processor also supports SLO-MO video recording.

In terms of video recording, the Snapdragon 855+ is far better than Dimensity 1000+ as it provides video recording of the same pixels but at higher FPS.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ processor is better than Dimensity 1000+ as it supports a 4K display with a higher resolution.

But the major drawback of the Snapdragon 855+ is that it does not support 5G technology. 

Whereas MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ is better in terms of camera support, single-core CPU clock speed, most importantly it supports 5G technology and many new technologies and features. So, choose the processor accordingly but the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ processor is better in various domains than MediaTek Dimensity 1000+. Also, Snapdragon 855+ comes up with many induced gaming modes.
