Apple A14 Bionic Chip came out in 2020 which was installed in iPhone 12 series. Apple iPhone 12 was the best smartphone before iPhone 13 was launched. Which was capable of doing tasks with great efficiency. Also, A14 Bionic Chip gave support to 5G in the 12 series iPhone.

Whereas, A15 Bionic Chip was launched on September 14, 2021. These chips were installed in the latest series of the iPhone which was the iPhone 13. This is the latest and fastest processor launched by Apple till date. These chips are considered as one of the best chips in terms of performance.

On September 15, 2020 Apple launched its A14 Bionic Chip in iPhone 12 series. Whereas, Apple launched its A15 Bionic Chip in iPhone 13 series on September 14, 2021.

Both these processors A14 Bionic Chip and A15 Bionic chip are installed with dual-core architecture. Both of these processors work in 2+4 form.

In the Apple A14 Bionic Chip, the first two cores are designed for high-accuracy tasks. These cores are made using Apple’s Firestorm Cores. These cores provide a clock speed of 2.99 GHz.In the Apple A15 Bionic Chip the first two cores are installed for high performance tasks. These cores are made using AVALANCHE cores. That provides a clock speed of 3.22 GHz.
Next four cores of Apple A14 Bionic Chip are used to do the work effectively and efficiently. This chip was made using ICE STORM cores that provides a clock speed of almost equal to 1.8 GHz.The next four cores of Apple A15 Bionic Chip are used to do tasks with better efficiency. The cores which are used in this processor are BLIZZARD cores that have a clock speed of 1.82 GHz.

From the above comparison about CPU and CPU clock speed of A14 and A15 Bionic chips then cores of Apple A15 Bionic chips are more powerful that provide better and much higher clock speed than that provided by A14 Bionic Chips.

-> CPU Fabrication Process:

If we see the CPU Fabrication process of A14 and A15 Bionic Chips then both these are designed using a 5nm (nanometer) fabrication process. The A14 Bionic Chip is made using TSMC’s 5NM process. On the other hand, Apple A15 Bionic Chip is made using 2nd generation TSMC’s 5NM process.

If we look at the CPU architecture of A14 and A15 Bionic Chips then both of them are octa-core 64-bit chipsets. That is, both these chips have eight cores that are available or provided in this to do multiple tasks at same time.

From the above comparison it is clear that the CPU architecture of both the chips are the same, that are 64-bit octa-core chipsets. In both these chips eight cores are deployed for better performance and multiple tasks at same time with better task distribution.

This Chip is capable of supporting 8GB of RAM.

From the above comparison it is clear that A15 Bionic Chip and A14 Bionic Chip both can support LPDDR5 RAM but A15 is capable of supporting 8 GB of RAM, that is the advantage of using it.

Apple A14 and A15 Bionic chips have NVME storage that is better than UFS 3.1 storage which is installed in Qualcomm and MediaTek processors.

As we can clearly see that both these chips are capable of supporting the same megapixel of cameras at same time but the picture or image quality of A15 Bionic chip is far better than that of A14 Chip.

In this latest chip the refresh rate of 120 Hz is also added.

Both these processors support the same display. But the refresh rate feature is not available in A14 Bionic Chip but it is possible in A15 Bionic Chip.

This processor provides an uploading speed of 3.0 GBPS and a downloading speed of 7.5 GBPS.This processor also provides the same amount of both uploading and downloading speed that is of 3.0 GBPS and 7.5 GBPS respectively.

In the end we can conclude that both processors are best in terms of performance. But A15 Bionic Chip is better than A14 in mainy domains mainly better clock speed, RAM support, camera quality, ANTUTU score, and Geekbench score. Both these processors are capable of supporting 5G technology because of which we get very high downloading and uploading speed. At the end we can say A15 Bionic Chip is the upgraded version of A15 Bionic Chip.
